Officer Manager & Paralegal
Charlene Camilleri is Aperion Law’s Office Manager & Paralegal in Melbourne.
Prior to Aperion Law, Charlene was a Senior Policy Officer, with the Permanent Mission of Malta to the UN and WTO in Geneva. In this role Charlene compiled and sent reports of meetings to her counterparts in Capital and Brussels. She also engaged in ongoing WTO discussions and any other negotiations. Charlene coordinated and chaired EU Regional meetings for councils, committees and working groups. She regularly researched trade topics to ensure that key stakeholders were kept abreast of relevant matters.
As a legal officer with the Government of Malta, Charlene assisted the office of the Deputy Prime Minister with all legal documents and policy papers to be presented or amended in parliament. She worked closely with the legal team and with the office of the AG. Prior to this Charlene was Secretary General of a European foundation based in Brussels. In her role, Charlene was responsible for the implementation and supervision of various funding applications.
Charlene completed her LL.B followed by her postgrad N.P. and finally her LL.D. at the University of Malta in 2015 after which she became a member of the Maltese Bar in 2016. She completed an exchange semester in partial fulfilment of the Doctor of Laws at the Victoria University in 2014. Charlene has also completed a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Leicester University. She is fluent in Maltese and English and can also communicate in French and Italian.
Charlene loves travelling and immersing herself in different cultures.
